In 2020, after an 18-month certification process led by The AIPF, including over 350 criteria, Amelia Island Plantation was certified by Audubon International as one of 13 Sustainable Communities in the US.

The Audubon International Sustainable Communities Program helps communities like ours to take steps to ensure that we are healthy, desirable and vibrant places in which to live, work and play, both today and tomorrow. This program is designed to support a community's previously identified priorities and build on the ongoing sustainability and planning efforts unique to the community.
